Botanical Name:
Cornus controversa June Snow
Common Name:
Dogwood - June Snow
Description:
With a wide-spreading layered branch structure this Dogwood is a lovely white flowering option in a garden stand-alone feature tree or where height is an issue. It quite literally grows wider than it does tall. Dark green Summer leaves turn orange-yellow in Autumn with that colour accentuated by blue/black fruits. New leaves are lime green and in late Spring/Summer clusters of flat-topped, frothy white blossom stand tall on bright green stems...quite a different blossom to the four-petal flower of most Dogwoods. Also known to grow at a faster rate than other Dogwoods.
